Technical IT Project Manager - Part Time

A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a Technical IT Project Manager to join our Data Warehouse group in Washington, DC. The Technical IT Project Manager will provide data warehouse infrastructure support. 

This position is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership, strategic and tactical planning and oversight in the management and administration of the project.
• Ensure technical performance of all Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) area products and services within cost and schedule for the project.
• Manage and supervise the work efforts of subordinate personnel.
• Prepare Project Management Status Reports, Program Management Reviews, meeting minutes, a Program Management Plan and other reports as requested by the customer.
• Oversee contract management and performance, configuration control, risk management, data management, production management and cost control for the project.
• Manage a Data Warehouse that uses Oracle and Postgres relational database management systems. The data warehouse includes UNIX, MS Windows and Sun-based operating systems and are connected to Fiber Channel and iSCSI storage environments. VMware, Solaris, Linux and Windows operating systems are on the servers.
• Phase in new technologies into the data warehouse baseline, such as virtual machines, Ubuntu and Elastic Kubernetes Service.
• Provide development, test, integration, staging and production environment support.
• Maintain the daily operation of systems on the network, operating systems and the multi-disciplined intelligence automated systems and databases the system accesses.

Skills Required:

• Candidates must have management experience in projects involving planning, integrating and implementation of complex systems and equipment, preferably aviation related.
• Experience working with a large organization (>35,000 customers).
• Experience providing scheduled deliverables and ad hoc reports.
• Experience managing IT projects.
• Experience managing teams with more than 10 members.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Self-motivated to take ownership of projects.
• US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is required.
• Upon conditional offer of employment candidates will be subject to a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain Government clearance.
• Verification of past employment, verification of education and references are also required.

Skills Preferred:

• Experience working with a large organization (>35,000 customers).
• Experience maintaining a data warehouse for a large enterprise (over 35,000 users).
• Experience collaborating with peer and client teams.
• Experience working remotely and onsite.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Engineering or related field and 15 years of IT experience.
