B2B PUBLIC RELATIONS WRITER

Hybrid Position (Tues.-Thursday work in-office. Mon. and Fri. work from home option)

TURCHETTE IS AN AWARD-WINNING, FULL SERVICE, BRAND MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS AGENCY WITH GLOBAL AND LOCAL CLIENTS IN BOTH B2B AND B2C MARKETS

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Write press releases, feature stories, case studies, white papers and product pieces. B2B technical and/or industrial experience a must.
• Pitch press releases and feature ideas by phone or email to national and global trade journalists, across digital, print and broadcast outlets, to interest them in covering our clients’ stories
• Respond to inbound inquiries from journalists and meeting requests from clients
• Arrange interviews and editorial meetings with key journalists for clients’ spokespeople - in person or over the phone - and facilitate these meetings where appropriate
• Monitor media coverage and report results to the wider team and clients
• Research target media contacts using Cision
• Brainstorm fresh strategic concepts to generate exposure for our industrial and b2b clients

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of B2B public relations experience is required

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations

• Demonstrated success in securing national and niche media coverage

• Experience with media pitching and business writing

• Familiarity of AP style and strong writing skills

• Knowledge of the wider media landscape – including current events, national/statewide news and trends

• Experience with ideation and creation of news articles, thought leadership columns and blog posts

• Detail oriented; able to manage multiple projects in an organized manner
