Mechanical Engineer Entry Level

Seeking an entry level mechanical engineer who can design and develop full mechanical processing systems. Experience with food processing systems a plus. Must be skilled in 2D and 3D CAD drawing programs (2D AutoCAD and 3D SOLIDWORKS preferred). Must be able to work effectively with others and excel at communicating full system details with sales, engineering, vendors, customers and fabrication/production. Must be well organized and effectively track and report on project development.

This is an office based job located in Vancouver, WA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Ability to manage time and resources to effectively balance numerous tasks and projects
• Exercises global decision making by considering other departments within the company such as project management, sales and estimating, accounting, purchasing, etc.
• Complete designs with a level of quality that leads to a minimum amount of clarification required during fabrication, assembly or installation.
• Complete projects from origination to installation. I.E., Draw a process or design, create a bill of materials, create build sheets as required, review/approve drawing supplied by others, create and maintain timelines for completion, final QA before shipping to customer.
• Analyze the structural stability of platforms and structures.
• Utilize internal company programs to organize and communicate project information efficiently.
• Develop full project timeline for large processing systems and maintain organization and communication to meet aggressive deadlines.

Prerequisites (Education, Experience):

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required (or equivalent experience)
• Experience developing both 2D and 3D models and detailed drawings
• Experience using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD
