Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Corporate Relations plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining strategic relationships with corporate partners. This position is responsible for executing and managing corporate partnership programs, fostering strong connections with existing partners, identifying and cultivating new corporate relationships and securing a goal of $560k+ to support the Oregon Shakespeare Festivals objectives. The Senior Manager of Corporate Relations will work closely with the Chief Development Officer to shape the corporate partnership strategy and contribute to the organization's overall success. The Senior Manager is also responsible for securing sponsorships of OSF's annual gala and serving as the Development department lead on acquiring sponsorship, vendors and Gala oversight. This position reports to and is in close collaboration with the Chief Development Officer with all facets of Corporate Relations.

Pay range: $80,000-$90,000

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) is a Tony Award-winning, not-for-profit professional theatre founded in 1935, and is among the oldest and largest professional regional repertory theatre companies in the United States. In 2019, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival reached a total attendance of approximately 360,000, with each patron seeing an average of three shows. Coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance numbers and annual budget size remain in flux. Eighty percent of audience members travel more than 125 miles to attend the Festival. OSF draws audiences from every U.S. state and from 37 countries worldwide through its growing digital and immersive offerings online. The Festival’s estimated annual economic impact is over $120 million in the State of Oregon.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Corporate Partnership Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with current corporate partners.
    • Ensure effective communication and provide a high level of service to partners.
    • Collaborate with partners to identify their needs and align them with the organization's goals.
  • New Business Development:
    • Research and identify potential corporate partners that align with the organization's mission and values.
    • Develop and implement strategies to engage new partners.
    • Create compelling partnership proposals and presentations.
  • Program Implementation:
    • Oversee the implementation of partnership programs and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership commitments.
    • Monitor and report on program performance and key metrics.
  • Gala:
    • Secure corporate sponsorships and manage relationships with corporate and individual sponsors
    • Identify and liaise with vendors, including caterers, decorators, entertainment, and AV teams.
    • Financial Management:
      • Manage budgets related to corporate partnership programs.
      • Track revenue, expenses, and return on investment (ROI) for each partnership.
      • Identify opportunities to enhance revenue generation through partnerships.
    • Stakeholder Engagement:
      • Work closely with internal stakeholders, such as marketing, PR, and operations, to align partnership activities with the overall organizational strategy.
      • Represent the organization at networking events and industry conferences.
    • Legal and Compliance:
      • Ensure all partnership agreements and contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations.
      • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams as needed.
    • Reporting and Analytics:
      • Check-in weekly with CDO to discuss strategy, update on progress and schedule appoints that require CDO presence.
      • Develop and maintain reports on the impact and performance of corporate partnerships.
      • Use data and insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to partnership strategies.

    Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

    Qualifications:

    • At least 5yrs of Corporate Relations experience or Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
    • Several years of experience in corporate relations, business development, or a related role.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Exceptional negotiation and presentation abilities.
    • Experience with financial management and budgeting.
    • Proficiency in using CRM and analytics tools.
    • Knowledge of relevant legal and compliance requirements.
    • A strategic thinker with a track record of successful partnership development.
