Position Title: Small Business Inbound Sales Account Executive

$30,000 to $50,000 annually DOE, plus target commission of $40,000 annually

Job Summary:

The Small Business Inbound Sales Account Executive is a unique and exciting role responsible for securing new sales driven from inbound calls received by customers interested in obtaining Ziply Fiber service for their small business. You and your fellow inbound sales team members will monitor and answer incoming calls from the company’s 800 toll free number, engage with customers to understand their needs and service requirements by building rapport, listening, and then suggesting the right products and service solutions to benefit their business utilizing Ziply’s advance fiber optic network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and answer inbound phone calls and be online from the start of the business day to close, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:30 pm at the company’s main office in Kirkland, Washington.

  • Sign new small business customers with focus on selling fiber internet and simple business voice services.

  • Follow approved call scripts and sales nomenclature to set a professional, confident, and knowledgeable tone.

  • Participate in company provided e-learning, classroom sales training and associated curriculum in tandem with the Sales Trainer and Director of Small Business Sales organization.

  • Meet and exceed monthly sales performance expectations.

  • Qualify customers using various applications, including ConnectBase, GAP, DSAT and others.

  • Collect customer notes and set follow-up calls as needed to win-over new customers.

  • Perform other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Understand and learn about Ziply Fiber telecommunications services for small business applications, including basic hardware and equipment details, rate card, pricing, promotions, coverage area and general service availability.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience using CRM tools like Salesforce or other associated applications.

  • Ability to multitask while conducting conversations with interested customers, enter business information, generate quotes, and follow up with every customer to ensure total satisfaction and great service experience.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ customer/call center experiences specifically in business sales, technology, software, IT, or other customer-facing online services.

  • Must have access to reliable transportation.

  • Must be enthusiastic, persuasive, persistent and able to handle rejection in the selling process well.

  • Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service in a calm, professional manner.

  • Must be able to pass local community background checks and permitting processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and be a self-starter.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.

  • Ability to deal with the public in a professional manner.

  • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of situations.

  • Ability to drive on behalf of the company in a safe and responsible manner

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

This role involves driving within a specific region or territory and requires the ability to safely perform all functions of operating a motor vehicle.

Work Environment and Additional Information:

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily a modern office setting.
