Primary Purpose
The primary purpose of the Product Manager will manage the life cycle of products, from introduction to end-of-life. This position will provide direct input into the product roadmap, strategy, timelines, product messaging, and product launch strategies.

Essential Function and Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, product launch, and aftermarket alignment.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
  • Work closely with Project Manager to ensure that product development projects are delivered on time and within budget; providing leadership and direction to cross-functional team as they execute project objectives. 
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
  • Provides guidance on product pricing plans, including tracking market pricing dynamics and constructing market assessments. Works with key business leaders to set costing and pricing strategies for product development.
  • Analyze market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates Custom Equipment across primary market segments.
  • May perform other related duties and/or projects assigned.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Product Design or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a product management or product development role within construction or industrial equipment industry.
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
  • High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
  • Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
  • Ability to create business plans, including detailed analysis, insights, strategy, cost estimates, risk assessment, key milestones and timelines.
  • Able to travel both locally and internationally.
