An esteemed and growing local company based in Warwick, RI is looking to expand their team with the addition of an HR & Payroll Specialist. As an integral part of the Human Resources department, you will be instrumental in overseeing HR initiatives and fostering positive employee relations.

Responsibilities of the HR & Payroll Specialist:
  • Verify employee hours worked, overtime, and leave taken for each pay period.
  • Enter payroll data into system accurately and efficiently.
  • Liaise with hiring managers and candidates to support recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Oversee the enrollment and eligibility procedures for new hires, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment periods.
  • Communicate benefits details effectively to employees, offering guidance and assistance on plan specifics, coverage choices, and updates.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance with benefits programs.
  • Contribute to training and development efforts within the company.
  • Aid in the preparation and submission of required reports and analytics.
  • Develop and implement HR protocols.
  • Address employee questions and issues regarding benefits, serving as a primary contact for problem resolution and clarification.

Qualifications of the HR & Payroll Specialist:
  • At least 3 years of experience in a human resources role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in technical skills, especially in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations about employee relations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Salary:
$60,000 to $70,000 per year.
