Position Overview:

As the Accounting and Finance Director for Aroma Joe's Franchising, you will be responsible for eight entities and will ensure the financials, budgets/forecasts and company assets are in great standing, build and deliver financial policies and strategies that improve business' financial status.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead a small internal team to support financial tasks for Aroma Joe's Franchising
• Analyze and present monthly financial reports in a timely manner
• Oversee annual budgeting, cash flow and forecasting, Royalty collection, Advertising Fee collection, DA payments, accounts payable, accounts receivables, equipment reconciliation and work with Finance Committee
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local law requirements on all financial functions
• Direct and oversee the month end close functions of the company by preparing and reviewing journal entries and performing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reports
• Prepare and maintain annual budgets and multi-year forecasts and perform analysis of budget/forecast variances and financial trends while evaluating each department's long-term needs
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal (IRS, FTC...), state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
• Monitor financial covenants of all debt agreements, prepare quarterly compliance reports, and maintain current lender relationships
• Manage annual financial audit which includes developing audit schedules, ensuring required documentation is prepared in a timely manner, and interacting with the auditors
• Manage annual tax preparation, review and quarterly estimate payments/filings
• Partner with other leaders in the business to develop and implement process improvements and new technologies to create a more efficient Finance department
• Prepare complex models and communicate the results/conclusions in simple terms that others can utilize
• Offer advice to the CFO and CEO regarding spending and budget questions
• Supervise, hire and oversee leaders in the finance and accounting departments, including giving directions and delivering periodical evaluations
• Travel occasionally as necessary to other locations
• Complete other projects as needed
