We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our team.  You will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of the company’s IT infrastructure. This role plays a key role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the company’s computer systems, network, software applications, and hardware equipment. You will provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance the efficiency and security of the company’s IT environment. This position is in-office.

Job Description

What you’ll do:

Technical Support:

Offer first-line technical assistance to employees experiencing IT-related problems, including hardware, software, and network issues.

Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related problems promptly to minimize downtime and disruption to daily operations.

Provide support for various devices, such as desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets, printers, and other peripherals.

Network Management:

Assist in configuring and maintaining the company's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).

Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.

Set up and manage network security measures, including firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems.

Software and Systems Management:

Install, update, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and utilities on employees' computers.

Manage software licenses and ensure compliance with software usage policies.

Provide guidance and training to employees on the effective use of software applications.

Provide support in MS 360, SolidWorks, AutoCad, KeyShots, Adobe Suite

Hardware Maintenance:

Perform regular maintenance tasks on computer hardware to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Coordinate hardware repairs or replacements with external vendors when needed.

Manage inventory of IT equipment and maintain up-to-date records.

Data Backup and Security:

Implement and oversee data backup procedures to safeguard critical company information.

Enforce data security protocols and best practices to protect against data breaches and unauthorized access.

Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential risks.

IT Projects and Upgrades:

Conduct research on emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance the company's IT capabilities.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.

Generate regular reports on IT performance, incidents, and resolutions.

User Training and Education:

Develop and deliver IT-related training sessions to enhance employees' technical skills and knowledge.

Promote IT best practices to improve overall technology literacy within the organization.

Qualifications

What you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, operation systems, and network administration.

  • Familiarity with network protocols, security protocols, and best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Effective communication and international skills to interact with employees at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Experience with cloud services, virtualization, and ITIL best practices

  • Relevant certifications are a plus.

This is a full-time position in our beautiful offices in Santa Monica, CA.  We offer a great package including PTO, benefits, 401K, and holidays.  Compensation $27-$35 per hour, depending on experience.
