Talent Specialist

Reports To: VP of Human Resources Department: Human Resources

Location: Corona, California Position Type: Full-Time

Classification: Exempt Shift: AM Shift

Pay Range:$70,000 - $80,000 Annually

Position Summary
As a Talent Specialist, you manage full cycle recruiting and play a crucial role in acquiring and retaining top talent for the organization. You will partner with multiple locations on all phases of recruiting, with a focus on Shared Services, non-exempt, exempt, Jr. leadership, and executive leadership positions. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies, conducting thorough candidate assessments, and collaborating with hiring managers to understand their needs. Additionally, the Talent Specialist will be responsible for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring job descriptions are accurate, ensuring the hiring manager and interview team are trained on compliant and effective screening techniques, and helping hiring managers strategize a recruitment plan against specific labor market conditions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred.
  • 2 years' experience as a Corporate Recruiter, or in a similar HR role, preferred.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, UKG preferred.

Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment Strategy:
    • Establish and maintain relationships with the local hiring managers and develop and maintain an understanding of the business, local talent market challenges, and hiring goals.
    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
    • Obtain position approval, post and track all newly open positions.
    • Coordinate with department managers the creation and maintenance of job descriptions.
    • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and referrals, to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
    • Develop strategic recruiting programs that will support the organization's overall recruiting strategies.
    • Understand the business operations from both a strategic and tactical perspective.
  2. Candidate Screening and Assessment:
    • Review resumes and applications, conduct initial screenings, and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the organization.
    • Coordinate and conduct interviews, both in-person and virtual, to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and cultural fit.
    • Streamline the interview process to make timely hiring decisions, without compromising the screening or candidate experience.
  3. Employer Branding:
    • Serve as an ambassador for the brand in all markets, deploy recruiting practices that align with the brand identity, and fully align with Latitude's mission, values, and goals.
    • Work on enhancing and promoting Latitude's brand to attract top talent.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with candidates to ensure a positive candidate experience.
    • Partner with Marketing to leverage social media avenues to promote and market job opportunities.
  4. Talent Pipelines:
    • Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles and future hiring needs.
    • Foster relationships with universities, industry professionals, and relevant communities to proactively source talent.
    • Attend industry events, conferences, and career fairs to connect with potential candidates.
    • Partner with Headhunters and agencies accordingly.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand their unique requirements.
    • Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment metrics and progress to all stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with local HR teams to ensure a smooth transition at various stages including interview scheduling, background checks, drug tests, and when the candidate is ready to be hired.
    • Quickly and effectively solve problems and maintain productive internal and external relationships.
    • Readily readjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing customer needs.
    • Recognize potentially adverse customer reactions and develop better alternatives.
    • Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment toward completing assignments promptly.
  6. Applicant Tracking System, Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities.
    • Maintain requisition data and recruiting progress in the applicant tracking system.
    • All other duties as assigned to meet business needs.


Physical Requirements/Environment

  • Ability to travel to other plants for training/auditing, if requested.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is required to talk and hear.
  • The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use their hands and fingers to manage or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
  • Stand for extended periods of time and take frequent walks throughout the plant interior and exterior, if required.
