Saint Joseph Notre Dame High School is a co-educational, Catholic high school located in the heart of residential Alameda, just minutes from downtown Oakland. The Office of the Assistant Director of Admission has as its primary purpose is to recruit student and family interest in SJND, through territory development. This position will spend the majority of the time building elementary school relationships and connecting with students.

The Assistant Director of Admission is a full time position with benefits, and is responsible for supporting the program implementation evaluation and improvement necessary to achieve enrollment goals for the school, including initiatives for student recruitment and admission.

The Assistant Director of Admission is appointed and is delegated authority by the Principal and reports directly to the Director of Admission in conjunction with the Director of Advancement.

Accountability:

• The Assistant Director of Admission reports directly to and is accountable to the Director of Admission.
• The Assistant Director of Admission is supervised and evaluated by the Director of Admission and Enrollment Management Director; the Assistant is appointed and dismissed by the Principal in consultation with the Director of Admission and Enrollment Management Director.

Member of:

Admissions Team and other committees as assigned by the Director of Admission, Director of Advancement or Principal.

Responsibilities:

Reporting:

• Assists the Director of Admissions with producing funnel reports, quarterly retention reports, and the annual enrollment management report.

• Consistent management and communication of pipeline activity and quota attainment.

Events:

• Assists and may be responsible with events designed to improve outreach, recruitment and enrollment efforts.

• Supports the Director of Admission with a series of planned events. Will provide event coordination for Advancement and Admissions events when needed.

• Assists with recruitment, admission and enrollment activities.

Admission/Admission Office:

• Organizes the application documents in a timely manner and reports to the Director of Admission the status of such documents.

• Communicating with prospective families regarding the application process, student visits, upcoming events, registration, etc.

Assistant Director of Admission Position Requirements:

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, allowing one to work effectively with colleagues and constituents, solve problems, and represent SJND in the community.

• Strong Computer skills with experience in professional database and spreadsheet management

• A bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.

Compensation + Benefits:

• Salary range for this position is between $67,000 and $77,000 and is dependent on experience. The school offers a comprehensive benefit package which includes participation in the Diocese of Oakland pension plan (8% employer contribution), full medical, visual, dental and retirement program (403b).
