Role Overview:

We are seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our mission by recruiting talented staff, managing hiring processes, fostering positive employee relationships, and developing and managing HR policies in alignment with our church's values and vision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment process to attract, screen, and select candidates who are aligned with our church's mission and values.
  • Manage the hiring process, including interviews, background checks, and the onboarding of new employees.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that reflect our church's values and comply with legal standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment and culture that promotes spiritual and professional growth.
  • Address employee relations issues, providing guidance and conflict resolution in a manner consistent with our values.
  • Support the development of staff through planning and implementation of professional growth and development strategies.
  • Work closely with church leadership to ensure HR strategies and practices are aligned with the church's vision and operational needs.
  • Manage and maintain employee records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements and church policies.


Qualifications:

  • A deep commitment to the Christian faith and alignment with The Point Church's vision, values, and Statement of Faith.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a strong understanding of HR processes and labor laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment.
