Job Overview

This position is responsible for the installation of integrated residential technology systems. This role combines technical skills with craftsmanship to deliver reliable, easy-to-use systems on time and on budget for the company’s clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, move, and modify equipment according to job specifications, standards, and procedures.
• Installing and troubleshooting Audio/Video, Home Theater, Network, and Automation Systems, covering both new construction and retrofit wiring. 
• Install, maintain, or repair low-voltage wiring systems and equipment according to manufacturer specifications; pre-wire lower-voltage wiring to industry standards; terminate various low voltage wiring as needed. 
• Assembling racks. 
• Skillful in connecting and troubleshooting control systems. 
• Physical installations of speakers, displays, TVs, and equipment racks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in the Home Audio/Video industry.
• Experience with the Control4 platform is a plus.
• Programming knowledge is a plus. 
• Should possess expertise in equipment setup and rack assembly.
• Comprehensive understanding of signal flows and control systems for distributed audio, video, and home theater systems, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electronic schematics, and user manuals.
• Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction.
• Skillful use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to work under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage priorities.
• Exemplary customer service skills coupled with a positive attitude. 
• A valid Driver’s License and the ability to operate a vehicle for travel to and from job sites. 

Physical Demands

• Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting up to 80 lbs.

Compensation

$40 per hour based on experience
