Description

Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager of Environmental Services is responsible to develop, plan, implement, and monitor the activities of the Environmental Services Department to create a clean, safe, and pleasing and hospitality based environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Create and implement the schedule, including review and approve

time cards for the Public Safety Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develops, implements, and evaluated the Environmental Services functions within approved budgetary guidelines.
2. Selects, trains, develops, and assess staff in a timely basis within the area of responsibility to assure the achievement of departmental organizational goals and customer satisfaction.
3. Develops, implements, and monitors adherence to department policies and procedures to enhance quality and hospitality and assure compliance with regulatory agencies.
4. Maintains a high standard of customer services throughout departments as measured by customer satisfaction survey results.
5. Collects and distributes performance improvement data relative to the operation of the departments according to published schedule.
6. Coordinates preventive maintenance, cleaning, and necessary repairs on department equipment for staff to work effectively.
7. Evaluates products and equipment used by departmental personnel. May select products in conjunction with the Infection Control Coordinator.
8. Oversees the 24 hour staffing for the EVS Department, including the management of time off requests, and resolving scheduling issues.
9. Participates on hospital committees as needed.
10. Upholds the Mission and Core values of the organization to foster an environment which holds leaders accountable for role modeling and staff accountability.
11. Performance other duties as required.

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years' experience in Healthcare setting required
• 1-2 years' experience of management
• Must be knowledgeable of how to operate all equipment found in a kitchen
