Job Description

AZ Center for Change is a proven leader in the delivery of specialty and evidence based programs. We are seeking an energetic, dedicated visionary to join our team as a Chief Clinical Officer. 

Summary:

Under the guidance of the Executive Director, the CCO leads the agency leadership team in the planning, development, and implementation of clinical operations. As a member of the agency Executive Management Team, the CCO contributes to the agency’s strategic planning. The CCO oversees service improvement, performance improvement, corrective action plans, and managing program statistical data. The CCO creates and implements clinical management policies procedures for the agency. He or she oversees all clinical activities ensuring the program services are provided in accordance with policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws, regulation and licensure/accreditation standards. He or she has extensive knowledge of agency contracts and implements systems for clinical compliance of contracts. The CCO  is responsible for the quality and general operation of all clinical service delivery of the agency. The CCO  assists in developing and submitting formal proposals for new business. He or she collaborates with community agencies, funding sources, customers, and monitoring agencies, and markets the agency’s services.

Essential Functions:

  • Is the primary role model for agency leadership. Demonstrates a high level of leadership for all levels of staff.
  • Manages fiscal operation of facility through monthly budget reviews of revenue and expense analysis to determine potential variances and adjust as needed. Participates in development of fiscally responsible budget to ensure profitable operation of the facility.
  • Operationalizes and carries out plans to achieve agency's strategic plan.
  • Oversees and delivers orientation training to new employees.
  • Establishes and models a culture of continuous performance improvement and professional growth through setting clear goals and expectations for leaders.
  • Routinely audits and assesses for service failures and intervenes as necessary.
  • Establishes and maintains, the program curricula for the out-patient programs.
  • Reviews and responds to concerns or grievances raised by regulatory or oversight entities.
  • Provides direct administrative and clinical supervision of management and clinical staff.

Expected Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current license in Arizona as a Behavioral Health Professional. The agency will consider the following: Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Must have at least Five (5) years’ experience in behavioral health with a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience.
  • Must have extensive knowledge of AZ AHCCCS Behavioral Health System.
  • Strong writing skills. Crisis management. Risk management. Clinical documentation. Cultural competence. Good public speaking skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement effective service delivery systems in addition to clinical service delivery.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to understand funding streams, funding types and the impact on agency service delivery.
  • Ability to organize data and present outcomes.

Note to Applicants: It is anticipated this position will be highly demanding and will require you to fully devote the time and energy necessary to meet the job functions. There may be some evening and weekend hours required.
