Job Description

Dexis is a professional services firm that solves the most pressing social challenges in complex environments, paving the way for a more secure and prosperous world.

Dexis embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion and strives to build and maintain a safe environment where we celebrate diverse backgrounds, treat everyone with respect, and value the unique lived experiences each person brings based on their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, military or veteran status, national origin, age, marital status or family status and related conditions.

At Dexis, you will experience a corporate culture of inclusiveness, fairness, and trust. You will be given the means and mentorship needed to succeed, and your creativity will be rewarded.

About the Project

Through the Private Sector Engagement Modernization Contract (PSEMC), Dexis supports the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID's) PSE Hub to expand and deepen collaboration with the private sector to achieve greater development outcomes. The PSE Hub's mission is to create the institutional conditions, operating infrastructure, and capacity necessary to expand engagement with the private sector in the United States and partner countries. The PSE Hub works to transform and modernize how USAID does development by institutionalizing USAID's PSE policy and delivering capacity- and systems-building support for PSE across all sectors, operating units, and countries where USAID operates.

About the Position

Dexis is seeking a short-term Web Design and Graphics Consultant to support the PSE Hub within the Agency's Bureau for Inclusive Growth, Partnerships, and Innovation (IPI). The Consultant will support the re-organization and re-vamping of an internal Google Site (called the PSE Resource Library) through the development of the following:

  • Task 1: PSE Resource Library Google Site Wire Frame
  • Task 2: Google Site Editing (to reflect wire frame)
  • Task 3: Style Guide, Maintenace Guide, and Graphics

This is a part-time consultancy with an expected duration of three (3) months.

Responsibilities and Deliverables

Task 1: PSE Resource Library Google Site Wire Frame

  • Develop a wire frame for the new Google Site, allowing for two rounds of revisions
  • Deliver final wire frame utilizing principles of UX/UI design, and building upon existing content from the current Google Site, and current draft map
  • Final wire frame should:
    • Include updates that modernize the look and feel of the current site while maintaining USAID style guide requirements
    • Align with Section 508 compliance requirements (Section 508 is an amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 requiring federal agencies to make their electronic and information technology accessible to people with disabilities)
    • Feature embedded Tableau Dashboards currently in development
  • The PSE Hub will provide preferred design elements and graphic prototypes to build upon a unified look and feel

Task 2: Google Site Editing (to reflect wire frame)

  • Edit the existing site to create the PSE Resource Library Google Site as determined by the wire frame, allowing for two rounds of revisions following user testing
  • Include necessary design support
  • Ensure compliance to Section 508 requirements
  • Site elements should:
    • Be created in a way that they will be easy to maintain by PSE Hub staff
    • Not include html coding outside of pre-set Google Site features

Task 3: Style Guide, Maintenace Guide, and Graphics

  • Provide guidance to maintain the Site
  • Create a Style Guide, including colors, fonts, logos, design hierarchy, graphics, and usage guidelines suitable for lay audiences
  • Create a Maintenance Guide, outlining key considerations and steps necessary for site maintenance
