Bizzell US is seeking a dynamic Communications/Learning Management System (LMS) Specialist to support the implementation of a technical assistance project serving Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), Community Colleges and their community partners. The ideal candidate will have a background in communications, content management, resource development and experience with Learning Management Systems. The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as they will meet with different subject matter experts to collaborate and create campaigns for the client.

Responsibilities:

· Develop a comprehensive communications plan and manage the LMS system that supports the initiatives of the project.

· Assist in the development, promotion and implementation of initiatives including trainings, webinars, meetings, virtual learning platforms, regional roundtables, and other project related deliverables.

· Draft articles, press releases, fact sheets, newsletters, content for websites, LMS, and engage in communication strategies for various target audiences.

· Assist in the design, review and revision of all materials while ensuring appropriateness of content, readability, and translations.

· Optimize images, graphics, and other documents for the web (GIF, JPG, PDF).

· Edit and proofread project materials prior to final submission.

· Prepare presentations for internal staff and external client meetings.

· Collaborate with workgroups, leadership, and staff members to define marketing and communication needs to develop integrated solutions.

· Ensure communication collateral materials comply with company, customer, and regulatory standards by implementing editorial standards for communication content.

· Manage junior level staff and interns on communications related contracts and tasks.

· Maintain a moderated Virtual Learning Health System; advertise and promote the availability of those discussion boards to the audiences.

· Work with the Mentor-Protégé lead and Curriculum Developer to develop the Learning Team Collaborative and Curriculum.

Required Skills:

· Demonstrated experience with web-based, digital, and social media marketing and/or communications.

· Demonstrated experience writing for web and online publications, social media, marketing collateral, newsletters, and press releases.

· Demonstrated experience making informed recommendations to expand digital marketing and communication efforts.

· Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects at a time.

· Strong oral and written communications skills.

Nice To Haves:

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning Development tools, and virtual meeting platforms (such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom) preferred.

· Familiarity with Moodle, Blackboard, or comparable LMS system preferred.

Qualifications Required:

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong client relations skills.

· At least two (2) years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations.

· Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English or closely related field; or a Bachelor’s degree with commensurate experience.
