Job Title: Mid-Level PM - Technical Program Manager

Location: Remote; need to work PST hours

Duration: 4 Months

Job Description:

Trust team in engineering will be publishing a technical whitepaper and is interested in vetting technical writers who also offer some design work to illustrate key concepts.

Please include artifacts, examples, or portfolio that includes your technical content writing experience. We are looking for public/customer facing examples. A minimum of 1 MUST be included with resume to be considered for shortlisting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Organize material and complete whitepaper according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology

• Design and illustrate key concepts

• Maintain records and files of work and revisions

• Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

Qualifications:

MUST have Microsoft experience

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications [Nice to have]

• 5-7 years’ experience required

Experience in creating documentation for a technical audience

• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

• Ability to read some programming code

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Produces a major portion of a complex documentation set (e.g. reference guides, online help, user guides, UI text) and supporting content (e.g., PowerPoint presentations, SharePoint site, whitepapers) that complies with documentation and communications plan requirements.

Must be able to accomplish objectives that span multiple product or subject areas, and possess proactive and strategic problem-solving skills. Must have excellent writing and analytical skills. Must be able to participate in planning and design and contribute to a project from end to end with minimal supervision. Strong project management skills required. Demonstrated ability to combine technical expertise with technical communication skills is required. Must have demonstrated interest in, and knowledge of, broad but related areas of technology. Advanced knowledge of the specified technology as well as additional technologies. Demonstrated ability to oversee a complex documentation set. The ability to work under deadline pressure is required. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
