Salary Range: $100k-200k base + bonus/commission, open to negotiate

Job Summary (Responsibilities and Requirements):

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic initiatives to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors, aligning with the company's objectives and growth targets.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients, serving as a trusted advisor and resource to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, market dynamics, and areas for expansion, informing business development strategies and decision-making processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals, presentations, and other collateral materials to effectively communicate company's value proposition, capabilities, and service offerings to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including scientific, project management, and operational departments, to ensure alignment of business development efforts with project execution and delivery.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events to promote brand awareness, build strategic partnerships, and enhance our presence within the life sciences community.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or above.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical business development, with a proven track record of successfully driving sales and revenue growth within the CRO industry.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical R&D processes and drug discovery and development workflows, coupled with a strong technical acumen and ability to articulate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and conferences.
