Job Description
A law firm with a nationally recognized litigation practice seeks a Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Raleigh or Winston-Salem office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex business disputes and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in complex business litigation
- Experience in federal court (prior experience as a federal court clerk is a plus)
- Experience with depositions and court appearances
- Legal research and writing skills (drafting motions and briefs)
- Managing complex electronic discovery (e-discovery)
- Preparing deposition outlines and exhibits
- Fact investigation and development
- Business development skills
- Value diversity and inclusion
Responsibilities
- Assist partners with all phases of litigation
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents
- Manage discovery process, including e-discovery
- Prepare for and attend depositions and court hearings
- Develop case strategies and arguments
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
Requirements
- Licensed or eligible for immediate licensure in North Carolina
- Excellent academic credentials
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
