Communications Specialist

Questify Fitness a leading fitness facility dedicated to promoting health and wellness, is seeking a skilled and passionate Communications Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategic communication initiatives to engage our members, enhance brand reputation, and promote Epistoflow's mission across various channels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Communication Strategies:

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop comprehensive communication strategies that align with Epistoflow's business goals and brand identity.
  • Identify key messaging themes and target audience segments to effectively communicate with members, staff, and the local community.

• Content Creation and Copywriting:

  • Write and edit compelling content for a variety of communication channels, including website copy, email newsletters, press releases, social media posts, and marketing materials.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to brand guidelines and reflect Epistoflow's values, voice, and messaging priorities.

• Media Relations and Public Relations:

  • Cultivate relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive media coverage and PR opportunities for Epistoflow.
  • Draft press releases, media pitches, and other press materials to announce newsworthy events, promotions, and initiatives.

• Internal Communications:

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep staff informed and engaged, including newsletters, staff meetings, and intranet updates.
  • Coordinate with department heads to gather information and ensure consistent messaging across all internal communication channels.

• Crisis Communication Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for managing communication during crises or emergencies, including drafting crisis communication plans, statements, and responses.
  • Monitor social media channels and online forums for potential issues or negative feedback, and respond promptly and appropriately to mitigate reputational risk.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive messaging for diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and content management systems.
