Oakwood Veneer Company in Troy, MI is seeking to hire a Sales and Marketing Manager to oversee the people, processes and systems in the Sales and Marketing Departments. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS OUR SALES AND MARKETING MANAGER

As our Sales and Marketing Manager, you enjoy the variety in your work in our fast-paced and fun work environment by managing approximately an initial 5-7 direct reports in the Sales & Marketing departments as well as supplementing their work in areas where we need extra focus. The tasks will be varied but will include many of the following:

  • Managing the Marketing Department team of a total of 1-3 people to ensure coordination by all Marketing team members in the following areas for optimal results.
    • Website & SEO.
    • Social Media platforms, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.
    • Creation or creating support of sales collateral that will be provided to the sale team or directly to customers.
    • Google AdWords.
    • Email, direct mail and other direct broadcast marketing campaigns.
    • PPC and other online advertisements.
    • All other Marketing duties, including internal marketing.
  • Direct Management of the Sales Department of 3-4 Sales Associates with indirect management of 3-4 customer service representatives when it comes to sales concerns in the following areas.
    • Sales Associates - All points of customer contact through the sales cycle, including short and concise weekly meetings with each sales associate.
    • Customer Services - as it relates to the sales cycle.
    • CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Ensuring the entire sales and customer service teams are properly utilizing the CRM system.
    • Customer Account Management. Ensuring the Sales Team Properly Manages Customer Accounts for Optimal Sales and Optimal Customer Experience.
    • Data Optimization - ensuring the Sales & Marketing teams are optimally utilizing data from multiple sources.
  • Working Sales team member - Direct Sales on Unique Account Types, Learning the System and Being a Working Part of the Sales Team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Sales and Marketing Management and understands the various to balance the needs and availability of various sales and marketing team members to ensure company goals are met as well as someone who can manage and coordinate team activities with specific goals laid out by management on how to obtain those goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of Direct Sales or Marketing Experience Required.
  • 2 years of Management Experience Required.
  • Associates Degree or higher (Business degree and/or Marketing Specialization a Plus).
  • Superior People skills.
  • Ability to Multi-Task, with Prioritization.
  • Team Oriented Behavior.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills Including the Ability to Rapidly Learn a Variety of Software, including CRM platforms.
  • Typing speed 45+ WPM - Including Ability to Touch Type (type without looking at the keys)
  • Ability to Work in the Office Approximately 60% of the time.

TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE

A typical schedule for this position is full-time, 40 hours - Monday-Fridays; this can be anywhere from 8am to 5:30pm, with some modest flexibility to enable work life balance. This position would require being in the office full-time during a training period and afterwards can be partially remote with 3 weekly days in the office.
