Multi-Media Editor

(Chicago/Hybrid) The Multi-Media Editor will work with the production, education, and editorial teams to produce and edit content for our digital and social presence across a variety of platforms. As the Multi-Media Editor, you will work closely with Production Manager, internal and external stakeholders, vendors and partners. This position will also help leverage audio and visual storytelling on various platforms to grow The Fellowships awareness and expand our reach through filming, recording, editing, and producing video and audio content. This position reports directly to the Production Manager and is based in our downtown Chicago headquarters. We are a hybrid office with a 3-day-a-week office policy.

We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or equivalent education and related experience. Additional experience including a minimum of 5 years of experience with a non-profit organization, media organization, marketing agency, or non-profit agency or website. Experience with vendor management and project planning and storyboarding. Filming, editing, audio/podcasting experience required. Digital, Social & Omnichannel experience required. Animation skills preferred.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include:

• Content Development: Work with the production team and key stakeholders to create a range of multimedia content including photography, video, illustration, animated elements of videos, audio recordings and podcasts.

• Production Processing: Manage and lead our post-production process and edit a variety of content for the organization’s multi-faceted channels and social media needs.
• Project Management and Coordination: Coordinate and manage photography and video that is captured at external and internal shoots for editorial content and social platforms.

• Vendor Management: Manage videographers, podcast hosts, or photojournalists, to bring their ideas to fruition.

Technical & Individual Skills:

• Strong sense of visual storytelling and attention to detail.
• Experience executing every aspect of production on videos and podcasts.
• Ability to develop content for different audiences as well as for different channels/styles of content consumption.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal, presentation and writing/communication skills
• Ability to take a hands-on approach to assist the team with creating quality videos.
• Excellent attention to detail; strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
• Experience executing every aspect of production on videos and podcasts.
• Ability to strategically develop content across multiple channels and various audiences.
• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Hands-on approach to assist the team with creating quality videos.
• Strong experience in project management
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects or comparable software
