Job Overview:

We're seeking a dynamic brand storyteller & Content Writer to join our marketing team, tasked with crafting compelling narratives that resonate with divisional target audiences and elevate our brands in the data communications, automotive, and medical industries. This role is tailored for an individual comfortable with transforming technical information into engaging stories, with essential B2B marketing experience.

As a pivotal team member, you'll develop blog content across multiple channels and maintain a content calendar, that encompasses blog posts, customer-facing literature, and industry reports. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all content reflects Proterial Cable America's unique brand voice and tone. Utilizing your SEO and keyword expertise, you'll strategically shape content to drive organic traffic and foster engagement across various marketing divisions. Additionally, you'll need to comfortably engage with numerous individuals across the organization to gather insights and information for your content.

Essential Functions

  • Develop compelling content for diverse digital platforms, including website, blog posts, whitepapers, social media, and email campaigns, utilizing B2B storytelling techniques.
  • Apply B2B marketing knowledge to effectively communicate with target audiences.
  • Understand the unique challenges and requirements of our industries.
  • Maintain messaging consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Implement SEO strategies to enhance search engine rankings and online visibility.
  • Translate technical information into engaging narratives aligned with brand messaging.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create content establishing us as subject matter experts.
  • Uncover customer insights and use cases highlighting PCA’s impact.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to gather insights for content development.
  • Research industry trends and competitive landscape for content opportunities.
  • Develop and manage content planning aligned with divisional objectives.
  • Stay updated on digital content creation best practices for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • This is primarily a work from home position, but must be local to New England to be on-site, up to 4x a month (if needed) at either our New Hampshire or Rhode Island plants.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in content writing, copywriting, or content marketing, in a B2B setting.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
  • Ability to craft narratives that resonate with target audiences and align with brand messaging.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and keyword optimization techniques.
  • Experience in conducting research to gather insights, industry trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, often virtually.
  • Willingness to be creative and offer forward thinking ideas
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects between divisions.
  • Understanding of data analytics and ability to interpret performance metrics to optimize content strategies.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with the CMS WordPress and email marketing platforms, or willingness to learn
  • Experience with SEO software for keyword research, competitor analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics for monitoring content performance metrics and analyzing user behavior.

Core Competencies

  • 3-5 years of experience writing blog content
  • Experience using SEO / keyword research tools to extract insights and actionable data
  • Must have B2B experience, those with manufacturing experience preferred
  • Desire to continually learn, research, and evolve based on changing SEO strategies and various behaviors of online search engines
