Signs Graphic Design Specialist

AlphaGraphics of North Austin is looking for a creative Sign Graphic Design Specialist to join our team. We are part of a three center franchise that is locally owned and operated. AlphaGraphics North Austin is in the top 5% of businesses in the AlphaGraphics network.

AlphaGraphics of North Austin primarily serves Business to Business clients with signage, environmental graphics, event graphics, decals, window graphics, vehicle graphics and wraps, wall signage, dimensional lettering, monument signs and ADA signs, as well as small format printing, promotional products and direct marketing.

The Sign Graphic Design Specialist plays a pivotal role within our team by creating visually compelling sign, environmental graphics, event graphics and vehicle graphics. This includes conceptualizing, creating, and executing sign designs, proposals, renderings, installation instructions and participating in site surveys.

Primary Responsibilities:

•   Generate design mock-ups, layouts, and digital renderings for diverse signage, including but not limited to indoor displays, environmental graphics, outdoor signs, vehicle graphics and event graphics.
•   Develop sign proofs, proposals, and vehicle wraps adhering to client specifications and brand guidelines.
• Create precise and visually appealing technical drawings using Adobe Creative Suite
• Create templates, images, and videos for website, promotion or social media use of sign projects.
•   Create permit approval ready architectural drawings when needed.
• Prepare graphics for printing, finishing and installation.
• Participate in on-site surveys
• Produce accurate, print-ready artwork considering scale, color, and materials for sign production.
• Support the production team by providing guidance to ensure accurate execution during fabrication and installation processes.

Experience, attributes & expectations

• 2+ Years graphic design experience in the sign industry
• Experience in environmental graphics, trade show exhibits, event graphics, signs, vehicle graphics
• Experience in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat Professional – current version
• Prefer someone well versed in local signage regulations as well as federal ADA signage requirements.
• Must have a positive, "can-do" attitude, eager to learn and grow.
• Must be highly organized, a strong multi-tasker and have great attention to details.
• Be productive and perform well in a fast-paced office environment.
• Experience in Microsoft Office – current version (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Expertise in wide-format printer and Onyx RIP operation a plus
• Expertise in color management concepts and procedures
• Strong spelling, grammar, and math skills required
• Strong attention to detail
• Resourceful - meaning you look for ways to figure out problems
• Experience managing multiple projects at the same time
