Summary of Position:

As we navigate through exciting changes, we're looking for an Internal Communications Analyst to spearhead our internal communication strategies, fostering a culture of transparency, engagement, and innovation. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive internal communications that support change management initiatives, promote organizational values, and enhance employee engagement across all levels of the company. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, capable of crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and drive a cohesive and positive organizational culture.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective internal communication strategies to support the company's digital transformation and change management efforts.
  • Work closely with the digital transformation team and HR to ensure communication strategies align with organizational goals and change management objectives.
  • Develop a variety of communication materials, including but not limited to emails, newsletters, intranet updates, video scripts, and presentation decks.
  • Lead the creation and management of internal communication channels, ensuring timely and transparent communication across the organization.
  • Facilitate open dialogue within the company, encouraging feedback and engagement from employees at all levels.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of internal communication strategies, adjusting tactics as needed to improve reach and impact.
  • Collaborate with leadership to communicate corporate vision, updates, and successes, reinforcing the company's commitment to innovation and growth.
  • Serve as a change champion, embodying and promoting the principles of change management and digital transformation within the company.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

  • Understanding of digital transformation processes, strategies, and the role of technology in driving organizational change.
  • Familiarity with change management theories, models, and practices to support organizational transition.
  • Knowledge of effective communication strategies, channels, and tools to engage diverse internal audiences.
  • Understanding of project management principles to plan, execute, and monitor communication initiatives.
  • Insight into how to align communication strategies with the company’s culture, values, and objectives.
  • Ability to create clear, compelling, and engaging content for a variety of formats and audiences.
  • Capability to develop strategic communication plans that align with organizational goals and change management initiatives.
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms (e.g., intranet, social media, email marketing software) and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong skills in building relationships, influencing others, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to measure and analyze communication effectiveness using metrics and feedback, and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to navigate through rapidly changing environments.
  • Ability to understand and consider employee perspectives, fostering an inclusive environment that supports open dialogue.
  • Strong teamwork skills, able to work effectively with stakeholders across different levels and functions of the organization.
  • Encourages creativity and new ideas in developing communication strategies that engage and inspire.
  • Demonstrates the ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and drive projects to completion.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in internal communications or a related role, with a strong preference for experience in digital transformation or change management environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging content for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience with digital communication tools and platforms, and an understanding of best practices in internal communications.
  • Strong project management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with an ability to influence others and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working with large Oil & Gas/Energy/Industrial business is preferred.

Travel Requirements:

  • Work is performed at a CIVI location M-Thurs with an option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Schedule: traditional 40-hour workweek or alternative schedule of 9 hour works days M-Thurs and 4-hour workdays Friday.
  • 10-20% Travel required to other Civitas offices and field locations in US
