Bentley Mills,founded in 1979, manufactures PVC-Free, Red List Free, carpet tile and broadloom in a LEED Gold EB facility in California under the strictest environmental regulations in the nation.

Bentley Mills, Inc. is searching for an Account Executive for Western Michigan territory. The Account Executive will pro-actively promote and represent Bentley, develop new and existing design, dealer and end use customers in the designated territory. The Account Executive will work closely with Bentley dealers and customers to ensure completion of projects within budget. The Account Executive will develop a strategic market segment plan with the Regional Vice President of the Midwest Region and local sales team to take advantage of all available end-use customer targets. This person will be responsible for maintaining successful and mutually beneficial business relationships with customers and prospective customers in the designated territory.

As an Account Executive, you will develop and secure material specifications with A&D firms, end users, and flooring contractors. You will ensure partnerships with all parties on the team to ensure the successful completion of the project's sustainable initiatives, budgets, schedule, and aesthetics. You will execute a strategic marketing plan to exceed all sales goals and help promote the company’s branding that resonates with the local market, ensuring Bentley is ‘top of mind’. Full engagement in communicating Bentley's initiatives through educating clients on current trends, project management, budgeting, and business development including CEU presentations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience handling a sales territory in the carpet industry or related field required.
  • Experience with generating options, alternatives, and solutions for customers to grow the business in this territory successfully preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns.
  • Knowledge of local markets to include accounts and contacts in the territory, market dynamics, and their effect on projects preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce.com to manage and forecast sales opportunities.
  • Proficient knowledge of Lotus SmartSuite/Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Ability and means to travel on a flexible schedule as needed, proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required.

The Account Executive will manage their expenses and comply with safety rules, environmental regulations, and all other Company Policies and Procedures.

Working Conditions

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Pay range: $45k-350k
