Job Description – Assistant Catering Coordinator

OBJECTIVES:

To plan and manage the retail operations of our busy Florida catering business under the Chief Administrator & Catering Manager, including the planning, operations, equipment maintenance, marketing, and customer satisfaction.

To ensure that the development and implementation of all systems fully support and comply with all franchise operating systems (square, salesforce, etc.).

To ensure proper hands-on training support is provided to catering staff members, training that focuses on daily operations, customer relations, staff orientation, and cleanliness.

This position is also responsible for increasing awareness of our brand/catering services and acquiring new business through the internet (including but not limited to cold calls, email blasts, research, Google AdWords) and social media (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn). Must have a creative mind with fresh ideas on growing a business with positive, upbeat attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

75% Daily Operations/Training – 25% Office/Administrative/Sales

STAFF: Assistant Managers, Team Leads, and Team Members.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Work under the Chief Administrator & Catering Manager to manage the operating plan and budget, including sales projections, margin goals, payroll, operating and occupancy expenses, and inventory requirements

· Manage the catering staff, ranging from 15 to 50 employees. Assist in interviewing, onboarding & training.

· Establish a motivating work environment that actively encourages and supports employee involvement with an eye toward possible job advancement that is aligned with individual goals

· Supervise the implementation of all catering policies and procedures

· Manage the procurement and service of all catering client leads and events

· Adhere to the marketing plan & assist with implementation with staff members

· Supervise and organize the tasks needed to maintain the overall operations including catering equipment & staff appearance, customer service, cleanliness, compliance with all safety and operating standards, merchandising and promotional execution

· Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth catering operations (including ordering & deliveries)

· Ensure the maintenance and safe operation of all catering equipment

· Provide ample employee training and development of skills

· Increase the number of clients and prospects with offerings and promotions.

· Utilize word-of-mouth, Internet, Email, and Social Media marketing techniques to increase traffic, brand awareness, and service requests.

· Work closely with clients to ensure satisfaction

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Leadership and motivating skills, including the ability to build strong relationships with customers and staff

· Follow up with clients to get feedback after the event

· Prep before and after events, attend events to help ensure operational excellence, and motivate and train new staff (Ensuring proper presentation, portion control, and maintaining serving temperatures).

· Must be willing to work outside in heat & move, lift, push, pull, carry, and place objects approximately 25 +/- lbs.

· Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items

· Other administrative duties, including - Emailing customers. Assisting in accurate payroll (time punches/cards), cash handling & remitting payments from clients/invoicing (&service charges)

· Increase the number of requests for catering quotes from prospects.

· Help to optimize our Web Site Search Position.

· Increase the number of customers through marketing & promotions.

· Increase the number of customer connections on social networks
