Job Summary

Porch Moving Group is looking for a seasoned, customer-centric Head of Product & User Experience to lead our group's Product and User Experience teams. We're in the business of making finding movers simple - from helping loading a moving truck to a full-service long distance move. Your job will be first and foremost to define and build an industry-leading consumer experience for our mover marketplace. You'll be responsible for the vision, strategy, roadmaps, and delivery of products that delight our customers and help them select the right movers. In addition, you'll be responsible for our supplier facing user experience and tools, our customer service user experience and tools, and other internal tools and data that drive our business. Finally, you'll be an integral part of the Moving Group leadership team, working with your cross-functional peers to drive group-wide initiatives.

The ideal candidate will know how to lead PMs and Designers to develop high converting consumer experiences that delight users and get them to re-engage. They will be a strategic thinker translating their vision into executable steps/initiatives for a diverse, geographically dispersed team. They will excel in a results-oriented environment and know how to leverage data as well as customer insights to identify opportunities to drive value for the Porch Moving Group. And they will have the technical expertise to ensure we're building solid and scalable technology to grow our business.


What You Will Do As The Head of Product & UX

  • Build, mentor, and retain a high performing product and user experience team
  • Work with your team to build a clear overall product vision, strategy, KPIs, and initiatives that get translated into an annual and quarterly roadmap
  • Drive revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and re-engagement
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of customer needs and pain points, competitive benchmarking, market trends and drivers, and formulate and execute strategic product portfolio planning (Build / Buy / Partner strategies)
  • Develop a culture of test and learn to continuously improve the customer experience, while measuring the impact of each feature launched
  • Develop a culture of customer centricity and design thinking to build features that delight customers, meet their needs, and grow the business
  • Work with your team to lead key strategic cross functional programs to successful completion
  • Operate autonomously; drive programs end to end including business goals, technical solution, launch planning and execution
  • Actively build relationships cross functionally and evangelize the product and UX vision within the organization
  • Facilitate trade-off decisions between investment, schedule and customer benefit.
  • Conduct customer research and use data to drive the development and prioritization of new products and product improvements.
  • Transform strategic thinking into executable initiatives that align with organizational goals and company roadmap

What You Will Bring As The Head of Product & UX

  • 10+ years of B2C conversion-focused product management or UX experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience as the leader of a full stack product management and UX team
  • Experience with agile software development methodology and working with engineering and data teams on technical projects
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to drive action, develop a KPI framework, optimize metrics, and track performance against growth goals
  • Bachelor's degree (technical major is preferred). MBA or Master's degree in a technical discipline preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple programs with exceptional organization, and clear and consistent communication
  • Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences
  • Team player with strong people management and cross-functional project leadership skills with a history of driving stakeholder alignment on a common vision and execution plan
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, set and manage expectations in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented; ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Have a passion for consumer product: conceiving, designing, building, and shipping it

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member

Pay Range*: $182,300 - $267,300

*Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.

Additionally, you will be eligible to receive long-term incentive awards, subject to program guidelines and approvals.

You will also be eligible to receive an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, subject to program guidelines and approvals
