Copywriting Specialist

Salted Stone, a fast-paced, full-service digital marketing agency, is adding a new full-time Copywriting Specialist to our growing North American team. The right candidate will be excited about helping clients across diverse verticals by outlining, writing, and revising well-informed, intelligently structured, and tightly edited copy for a variety of applications. The writing may be highly technical in nature in some instances, and optimized for style and impact in others — flexibility is key. You’ll report to the Creative Director and work closely with the entire Creative team. 

This position is fully remote.

This is a job for someone who is intensely curious about how things work, who has the capacity to write about the granular details of industry with clear, concise style, and most importantly, someone who is comfortable writing thousands of words a week on deadline. Our clients rely on us to understand their companies and their industries, and to use that understanding to create content that will connect with their specialized audiences. 

Responsibilities:

• Write awesome content, keeping in mind both formal and creative considerations, for a broad spectrum of deliverables including but not limited to: web pages, blog posts, emails, product descriptions, long-form digital content, sales collateral, advertisements, infographics, video scripts, and more
• Copy-edit the work of others with a keen eye
• Research and rapidly develop working knowledge of complex topics 
• Understand high-level marketing strategies and research and outline specific deliverables, such as blog posts and whitepapers
• Partner with members of the Client Services team to help forecast timelines and other applicable project management concerns
• Combine creative ideation with exceptional delivery
• Work with senior creative or project leads to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style

Requirements:

• 1+ years experience in an agency copywriting, product marketing, or brand journalism role
• Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills 
• Bachelor's degree in english literature, journalism, writing, marketing, or a related field
• Ability to visualize creative layouts and provide general art direction to graphic designers
• Professional conduct while conducting agency business
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
• Strong general knowledge of technology, including G Suite
• SEO experience is a plus!
