The Affinity Group is looking for a part-time, dependable, and reliable Sales Support Specialist. Here’s a taste of how you can cook something up for Affinity Group: 

Who we're looking for:

This position will be based out of our office located in Austin, TX. This role will provide support to our business development sales teams and assist with client support activities and coordinate facilities maintenance. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift 40-50 pounds and be instrumental in coordinating regional trade shows (food shows) and marketing events. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who can work independently, have a high degree of integrity, and require minimal day-to-day supervision.

A typical week might include the following:

  • Attention to Detail. Partner with sales team to generate and develop new business by providing support to sales management, broker sales representatives, and distributor sales representatives. 
  • Time Sensitive. Assist with orders, pick up, and delivery of food samples.
  • People Skills. Foster relationships with vendors, distributors, operators, and cross-functional teams. Team player that supports the team during the busy food show season. 
  • Organization. Ability to organize, receive, and log incoming/outgoing shipments, coordinate deliveries, and mail distribution.
  • Facilities. Coordinate tasks that include, but are not limited to maintaining the office, office machines (copy, fax, printer), and repairs.
  • Workflow. This position will also be responsible for ensuring all warehouse functions such as case goods off-loading, breakdown, labeling, and check-in are completed accurately.

The role might be right for you if you have:

  • H.S. diploma, Associate's Degree, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Active Driver's License, clean Motor Vehicle Record, and reliable transportation.
  • Utmost reliability, maturity, organizing skill, and the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change positively.
  • Eligibility for employment in the Continental U.S.

Bonus points if you possess: 

  • Relevant industry-related experience (food broker, distribution, food manufacturer). 
  • Familiar with CRMs and/or supported employees within a selling organization. 

What to expect:

  • This role requires occasionally standing for extended periods of time and lifting 45-50 lbs.  
  • Ability to withstand frigid temperatures due to occasional loading of case goods in/out of a walk-in cooler/freezer. 
  • The typical work week: Mon thru Fri with flexible start/end shift hours! 
  • Travel: Occasional driving a vehicle to various locations.
