The Total Rewards Coordinator is the ally in the trenches of the day to day at the agency. They will focus strongly on ensuring the people support function runs smoothly and employees are provided real time, helpful, and educational support. The Total Rewards Coordinator will report into the HR Manager and work cross functionally with the Finance and Operations departments. What you will do

Benefits/Leave Administration:

  • Act as the day-to-day contact for benefits questions from the staff & partner with 919’s benefits brokers on plan details
  • Coordinate leave administration, keeping detailed records, communicate effectively and proactively with employees, while ensuring all paperwork is submitted in accordance with the law, insurance, and any other applicable parties
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws in accordance to all leaves of absence, accommodations, and payroll requirements
  • Focus on compliance; handle workers compensation claims, onboarding paperwork, etc.
  • Point of contact for employees on 401k plan details.

Payroll:

  • Administer payroll; off-cycle payments such as severance, bonus, raises, etc.
  • Gather, report, and pay all payroll taxes to Federal, state and local tax agencies on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Assist in the processing of annual W-2 and 1095c; ensure proper reductions in each payroll cycle per employee; Research and correct payroll discrepancies and errors.
  • Handle employment verification requests and review unemployment forms.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to employee inquiries regarding payroll/paycheck issues

Compensation/ other duties:

  • Support the HR Manager with job leveling and compensation reviews
  • Work cross-collaboratively with the finance and operations departments
  • Supports various HR plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred 
  • 2-4 years’ experience administering payroll; proven financial literacy and understanding of benefits.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task and have attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Trustworthy to hold in confidence employee information.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
