Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Opportunity in Southeast Austin!

This role involves applying accounting and finance principles to analyze financial information and prepare reports, requiring a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am – 5pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Post journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform routine accounting activities such as general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, and report generation
• Assist with payroll and other HR reporting
• Finalize monthly or quarterly tax filings and payments
• Stay updated on tax legislation and its impact on financials and compliance
• Review weekly payables
• Maintain and analyze budgets, producing comparison reports
• Manage asset records
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Coordinate and provide reports to the Controller and CFO
• Properly file and maintain records
• Analyze bank, sales, group, vendor, and collection reconciliations
• Assist external CPAs with tax returns and other required reporting
• Support internal and external audits, including 401(k) testing
• Ensure accurate allocation of revenues and expenses
• Produce written procedure documents
• Perform other assigned duties

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience required
• Expertise in accounting and auditing principles
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially in Excel
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with Odoo preferred
