Database Engineering - Tarrytown

ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP is looking for a Database Engineer with strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities. The qualified candidate must understand and conceptualize applications and database reporting from both a technical/programming perspective and from a business point of view. Candidates will work with both technical personnel and business managers/administrators, and participate on project teams, therefore, they need strong interpersonal and communication skills. This position will perform many key roles which may include, but not limited to: working with stakeholders to develop specifications, architecting databases, developing SQL stored procedures, implementations, and support of software solutions. Applicants must thrive in managing databases and turning complex data sets into meaningful insights that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, maintain, and integrate Data Warehouse/DataMart and Business Intelligence Solutions
• Month end reconciliation between EHR/EMR system and Data Warehouse
• Monitor system health and query performance.
• System configuration and integration with other systems
• Create and edit queries and stored procedures using SQL
• Develop and Implement ETL processes
• Develop technical specifications and design documents
• Automate and deploy daily, weekly, and monthly reports
• Create ad-hoc reports for on-demand business questions and needs
• Create and maintain agent jobs with SSIS/SSRS
• Perform off-hours maintenance as required
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
• Develop and maintain new and existing dashboards for various levels of stakeholders.
• Recommend opportunities for optimized data reporting and analysis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree with specialization in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 3 + years experience working with Microsoft SQL, SSRS, SSIS.
• Experience with data visualization
• Past experience in related healthcare field highly preferred.
• Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated and directed.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Schedule:

8:00am - 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5:00pm

4 days in office (Tarrytown), 1 day remote
