Summary

The successful candidate will initially take charge of designing and building NetProApp’s overall design and user experience. As the project scales, this role will evolve to include leading a team dedicated to these efforts. Responsibilities include developing, creating, and testing the layout, functions, and navigation of websites or interfaces to enhance usability. This role also involves overseeing the aesthetic and functional aspects of the website or interface, creating a testing plan for new features, and approving new releases for launch.


This position requires ensuring a smooth and intuitive user interaction with our products. Responsibilities extend to conducting user research, developing personas, crafting user journey maps, creating wireframes, and performing user testing to optimize the product experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Meet with internal/external clients or management to discuss the needs, design, and functionality of NetProApp
  • Test interfaces, navigation menus, and other features of NetProApp
  • Work with other team members to determine what information the site or page will contain
  • Work to determine the optimal layout for NetProApp based on real world user testing and data
  • Work with the product team to create prototypes and mockups of NetProApp
  • Design and develop graphics, logos, and other content that may be a part of the UI
Skills and Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Prototyping, Wireframing, User Flows, and Mockups
  • Wireframes: Create web page layouts without visual design to prioritize page elements based on user needs
  • Prototypes: Develop sample or simulated versions of final products for testing and feedback
  • Mockups: Design realistic visual models of webpages or applications
  • User Flows: Map out each step a user takes when interacting with a product or service

Visual Design:

  • Understand design principles, color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Proficiency in tools like InVision, Sketch, Figma, Miro, or Adobe XD for creating high-fidelity prototypes.

User Research:

  • Research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Use techniques like interviews, surveys, and usability testing.

Agile Methodology:

  • Familiarize yourself with Agile practices for iterative development and collaboration.

  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners/managers, and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Present ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
Physical Requirements
  • Stand or Sit: Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
  • Walk: Must be able to move about inside the office to access cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, computer, and printer.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Constantly positions self to maintain providing service for machinery, computers, printers, etc.
  • Talk/hear: The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Carry weight, lift: Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 20 pounds across the office for various needs unassisted, 25 pounds heavier with assistance.

Education and/or Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree desired, but not required if able to demonstrate abilities through prior work experience or projects.
  • At least 3 years of relative experience in the same or similar field.
