Position Summary

In this Web Specialist role, you will be responsible for maintaining the UConn Foundation's web platforms and will contribute to the overall digital marketing strategy through performance data reporting. You will manage rolling out content updates, including the addition of giving pages, to the Foundation's main website, as well as building and launching campaign-specific websites using the Foundation's crowdfunding platforms. You will also maintain and expand systems to capture and report marketing performance data, working with the Director of Digital Marketing to identify opportunities to optimize email, social, and content strategies to promote events and initiatives, drive qualified traffic to the Foundation websites, and ultimately increase conversions for event attendance and donations.

In this role, you will:

  • Build and maintain the Foundation's web presence by managing updates and maintaining content across the Foundation's primary giving site.
  • Prepare marketing campaign reports using data from first- and third-party digital channels, including Google Analytics, social platforms, crowdfunding and event platforms, and ecommerce plugins.
  • Share findings across departments, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and helping to identify opportunities for improvement throughout the marketing funnel.
  • Contribute to the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge the effectiveness of the Foundation's digital marketing efforts with a focus on identifying return on investment (ROI).
  • Manage and implement tracking conventions for Foundation print and digital initiatives, including UTMs, QR codes, source codes, and shortlinks.
  • Maintain online giving pages. Develop web pages for new giving opportunities. Monitor and ensure that online giving options remain up to date.
  • Assist in the development of giving microsites for crowdfunding initiatives.
  • Create comprehensive webpages for large-scale initiatives.
  • Identify ways to improve structure, layout, and copy from events and giving platforms, and test tactics for driving qualified traffic to online platforms.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to improve the user experience across Foundation web properties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
