From comprehensive case management software to disaster recovery services and content management information systems used in delivering foreign aid, our solutions are improving the lives of millions of people. We’re looking for a Senior Proposal Writer / Proposal Content Manager who shares our commitment to leveraging technology to make a real impact in the world – a professional who knows, beyond all else, that the quality of our products and services is only as good as the company we keep.

Our proposal development and marketing communications teams collaborate daily on producing content that educates and inspires potential clients and partners with shared vision and goals for providing barrier-free health and human services to vulnerable populations. The Senior Proposal Writer / Content Manager is a seasoned, professional proposal writer who coordinates the development of RFP content to effectively represent FEI products and services, improve response quality and promote process efficiency. Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Strategy, the Lead Proposal Writer / Proposal Content Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate and quality proposal content, working with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) and other key stakeholders to gather strategic information and translate that information into compelling, competitive proposal responses.

  • Develop, curate, edit and polish complex proposal content that is well-written, accurate, consistent, responsive and reflective of FEI mission, vision, values and brand attributes.
    1. Collaborate with sales support, capture, product, account and business development team members and other SMEs to create and refine win themes in advance of RFP/solicitations.
    2. Create original text and make recommendations for the use of illustrations, explanatory tables and/or graphics.
    3. Edit and monitor proposal language to ensure incorporation of customer-centric, value/benefit-based themes to clearly communicate how our solutions will help our customers and the clients they serve. o Coordinate timely production and review of supporting documents and content for inclusion in proposals – editing and formatting of documents, such as resumes and past performance, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Manage and prioritize writing assignments for several proposals and content development efforts simultaneously in a high-volume, quick-turnaround environment. o Support proposal development and brand strategy colleagues by contributing to the development of proposal production schedules, providing thoughtful input in managing section planning, creating and curating initial draft content, completing review cycle recovery and committing to attentive adherence to established deadlines during each proposal phase.
    1. In support of proposal development managers, contribute to and execute proofreading, editorial and content quality control efforts.
    2. Attend and participate in all scheduled proposal meetings (kickoff, solution, status) o When necessary, manage RFIs, task orders, data calls and proposals of moderate complexity.
  • Collaborate with proposal team members in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of a content library, so material can be efficiently and consistently located, shared and repurposed
