Controls Hardware Designer
The Controls Engineer is pivotal in designing, modifying, and implementing advanced hardware and software programming applications. This role involves active support in the development and testing of systems, ensuring high-quality execution of controls content across diverse projects. Collaborating closely with Mechanical Engineers, Manufacturing, and Project Management teams, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in the execution and commissioning of technical specifications and designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement electrical and pneumatic schematics utilizing AutoCAD software, ensuring precision and efficiency.
- Generate electrical and pneumatic BOMs through Excel, showcasing organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Design and create PLC software and HMI designs, adhering to customer specifications and standards.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of communication networks such as Ethernet IP and ProfNet, enhancing system connectivity and integration.
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens software is essential, demonstrating expertise in industry-leading tools.
- Support startup commissioning and debugging of equipment, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Review designs to confirm adherence to customer specifications, maintaining quality and compliance.
- Travel to end user locations for final installation and commissioning, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
- Provide production support at customer facilities, emphasizing problem-solving skills and technical support.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally for business, reflecting global competence and professional development.
- Perform all other duties as assigned, highlighting a team-oriented and flexible approach.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Physical ability to perform job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
