Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Department: Human Resources / Administration

Reports to: Senior Director of People and Culture

Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range: $65,000


FLSA Classification: Exempt

Job Summary: As the HR Payroll Specialist at All Good Northwest, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and administration. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery for our employees while adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Additionally, you will provide support to the HR department in auditing our HRIS system to ensure accuracy in employee pay, paid time off, and other relevant information.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now software every other Monday.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Calculate and process payroll adjustments, including but not limited to salary changes, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, benefits, and other HR matters.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of payroll expenses.
  • Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
  • Generate payroll reports and analyses for management as needed.
  • Support HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Senior Director of People and Culture.
  • Processing income withholding orders, garnishments, and child support payments.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, problem solve, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a non-profit or similar setting.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to navigate Office 365 products at a proficient level, primarily Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Excel.

Additional eligibility requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a random drug test, and background check.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination. This includes being up to date on all booster shots.
  • Must be able to pass TB test.

Travel required:

Occasional travel to and from other work sites up to 20% of the time.
