Responsibilities and Duties

  • Order Forecasting and Coordination: Oversee labor hours and revenue forecasting for wedding, specialty cake, and pastry orders. Schedule and coordinate wedding cake deliveries.
  • Communication and Management: Handle the main inbox, ensuring timely responses (within 48 hours) to custom estimate inquiries, updating order details, and managing online orders via Square.
  • Financial Responsibilities: Invoice customers for custom orders, process payments using Square, and manage inventory for boxes and other production and delivery items.
  • Marketing and Design: Utilize Canva for designing marketing materials such as menus, business cards, and flyers. Manage social media accounts, including posting photos, reposting story tags, and responding to direct messages.
  • Wholesale Coordination: Maintain and coordinate existing wholesale relationships, including order updates, invoicing, and delivery arrangements.
  • Team Leadership and Training: Ensure clear communication across departments, train employees as needed, provide feedback, and ensure a clean, safe, and appealing environment for customers and employees.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Open and close the store front, adhere to operational procedures, including task lists and tracking sheets, greet and assist customers, answer phones and messages promptly.
  • Delivery and Decoration: Assist with deliveries for wholesale and special event deliveries during peak season, and either possess or be willing to learn cupcake frosting/decorating skills.
  • Customer Service: Handle customer complaints and ensure overall customer satisfaction.


Qualifications

  • Experience in Event and Order Management: Proven ability in forecasting, scheduling, and coordinating orders, especially in a bakery or similar setting.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to manage multiple communication channels effectively and maintain clear communication across teams.
  • Financial Acumen: Experience with invoicing and payment processing systems, preferably Square, and inventory management skills.
  • Marketing and Social Media Proficiency: Competence in using design tools like Canva and experience in managing social media platforms for business purposes.
  • Wholesale Management Experience: Demonstrated ability in handling wholesale accounts, including order management and delivery coordination.
  • Leadership and Training Abilities: Proven track record in leading a team, providing training, and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Operational Efficiency: Capability to manage daily operational tasks with diligence and accuracy, including store opening and closing procedures.
  • Physical Ability and Willingness to Learn: Physical capability for delivery tasks and an eagerness to learn or experience in cake decorating.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong ability in handling customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays. Compensation is $20.00 - $24.00/hour.
