Job Description
  1. JOB SUMMARY

The group product manager is a key role for a technology-based company, having a diverse range of responsibilities that promote product sales. The product manager takes business strategies and matches them with customer needs to create a plan that maximizes sales potential and growth in the market. This includes creating a long-term vision for the products, their functionalities, and future features. The candidate must be an effective communicator, understand the marketplace, and must be a leader.

The candidate will be required to travel throughout the USA & Canada, supporting Regional Sales Directors and our independent representatives at specific client meetings and tradeshows.

  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following represents a list of primary duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company goals.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competition, providing valuable insights for product development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with sales, marketing, project management, aftermarket and other departments to ensure product success and alignment with company objectives.
  • Product Launch and Go-to-Market Develop go-to-market strategies and collaborate with marketing and sales teams for successful product launches.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Customer Feedback and Support: Gather customer feedback, conduct surveys, and monitor user behavior to continuously improve the product.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the product complies with industry standards and any relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor products, pricing, and strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and user insights to make informed product decisions and prioritize feature enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Create and present regular reports and product updates to internal stakeholders, executive management, and the sales team.
  • Product Documentation: Ensure comprehensive product documentation, including product specifications, case studies and technical documentation, is created and maintained.
  • Product marketing: Creating and developing product marketing plan.
  • Pilot Programs: Create programs to promote equipment pilots and demonstration units in the market and assess the outcomes. Plan for the sale and replacement of existing pilots at the end of their lifespan.

This position does not supervise other employees

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting,

However there could be exposure to warehouse/shop elements. Potential for exposure to undesirable field elements at treatment plants or contractor’s site if a project requires a visit.

  1. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Regularly required to stand, sit, and walk
  • Ability to sit to do data entry for extended periods of time as required
  • Vision and hand dexterity for computer activities

  1. POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a Full-Time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday – Friday, 8-5 or an approved flex schedule related to the needs of the role.

  1. TRAVEL

Ability to travel up to 50%

  1. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, similar technical field, or equivalent work experience required
  • Experience as an Application Engineer, Product Engineer, Product Manager, or similar strongly preferred
  • At least 2 years' experience in Biosolids
  • Proficiency in water and wastewater market.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational, leadership and motivational skills
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
  • Ability to function effectively in cross-functional work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, math, and persuasion skills
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements

Pre-Hire: Ability to pass a drug test, background check as it relates to the role, and completion of an I-9 form. HUBER is an E-Verify Employer.
