WHAT YOU'LL DO

 The Senior Manager, Information Technology is responsible for managing the overall Information Technology [IT] operations across the organization; leveraging the vision, mission and IT strategy in collaboration with the Vice President of Information Technology. The primary focus is optimizing technology infrastructure, business application systems, and systems processes to support the company's business objectives, strategy and growth initiatives for the Pioneer Human Services nonprofit organization. The Senior IT Manager collaborates, mentors and manages a team of IT professionals across technical units, with various departments, and ensures that Pioneer's IT resources are optimized, secured, and aligned with regulatory and industry best practices.

 

PRIMARY/ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements the comprehensive IT strategy aligned with Pioneer’s business goals and long-term vision as a member of the greater Pioneer leadership team with a strong alignment with Mission and Vision.
  • Collaborates with leadership to identify and prioritize IT initiatives that improve efficiency, productivity and innovation.
  • Recruits, mentors, and manages a team of IT professionals. Foster a transparent, healthy and collaborative work environment. Lead an effective IT retention and professional succession growth plan. 
  • Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of Pioneer's IT infrastructure hands-on, including servers, networks, hardware, and software systems.
  • Ensures the availability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure hands-on to support ongoing operations and future growth.
  • Establishes and enforces robust security protocols and measures to safeguard the company's sensitive data, ntellectual property, and customer information.
  • Implements disaster recovery and business continuity plans to protect against potential IT disruptions.
  • Coordinate the selection, deployment, and maintenance of various software applications relevant to the aerospace manufacturing industry, facilities management, operational support and behavioral health divisions. Technical lead for project management across Pioneer.
  • Manages the evolution from legacy platforms to improve and stabilize business operations and the infrastructure technical landscape.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to streamline business processes and improve workflow efficiencies through technology.
  • Develops and manages the IT budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources for various IT projects and ongoing operations. Collaborate with the technical providers and vendors, analyze utilization and account management.
  • Conducts performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to data privacy, security, and IT Pioneer operations.
  • Stays updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in IT processes and practices

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security, cloud and software applications relevant to Pioneer, including healthcare and social services.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, time management, organizational and customer service skills. Interface with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Manages effective technical support for end users, applications, data systems and infrastructure including off hours and on call support plans where appropriate.
  • Experience in non-profit systems administration technology environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Experience in managing IT budgets, resource allocation, and vendor relationships.  
  • A strong focus on data security and compliance.
  • Deep understanding of the relationship between application design, data and infrastructure environments.
  • Significant knowledge of and experience in project management and systems development tools, techniques and processes are required, including SDLC
  • Proficient in systems analysis, estimating, rapid application development, structured programming, data modeling and analysis, object-oriented design/development, project management and information security design
  • Knowledge of database platforms and performance tuning
  • Broad professional education background in Security and Systems Administration, Cloud, DevOps and Data Engineering. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ITIL are a plus.
  • Proficient in current Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint. Infrastructure monitoring, management and security tools such as Solar Winds, Artic Wolf or similar. Remote management services and distributed management tools

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  In lieu of a degree an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive systems administrative experience in aerospace or a similar manufacturing environment as a Systems Engineer or similar infrastructure-supportive discipline. 
  • Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in IT leadership and people management roles
  • 5+ years in telecom infrastructure services and support
  • 5+ years leading IT software acquisition, development and support services and projects
  • 5+ years as a software and database architecture expert in complex IT environments
  • 5+ years in SQL Server and enterprise applications and databases [on premise and SaaS]
  • 5+ years in current Microsoft software environments and platforms
  • 5+ years in ERP and/or EHR enterprise level systems and support

 

PREFERRED/DESIRABLE

  •  A master's degree
