Marcum Search is assisting our client in their search for a Sales Support Specialist to join their team. This position is hybrid in Garden City, NY. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and proactive individual to elevate the efficiency and productivity of a Sales Department. The Sales Support Specialist will play a crucial role in generating a profitable book of business by providing comprehensive support to Sales Representatives and ensure smooth daily operations. Primary Responsibilities Handle service requests from brokers with promptness and accuracy. Manage and organize Sales Representatives' daily schedules and task lists. Maintain constant communication with Sales Representatives during work hours. Coordinate and confirm appointments, ensuring the accuracy of Sales Representatives' planners. Engage with prospective brokers and agents to introduce them to the company and our products. Facilitate and support the preparation of quotes, including assistance with online quoting tools. Ensure effective communication between departments to route broker calls efficiently. Customize marketing materials, such as applications and brochures, for specific agencies. Assemble and distribute producer kits for brokers and Sales Representatives. Maintain the accuracy of the Sales Force broker database, including producer licenses, website registrations, and agreements. Generate and distribute various reports to the VP of Sales and Sales Representatives. Assist with typing and sending out correspondence, such as thank you letters post-Sales Rep visits. Act as a liaison for data processing requests via the VP of Sales. Investigate customer and prospect web pages for potential opportunities. Instruct brokers on website usage and updates. Communicate rate and benefit changes to brokers and encourage the upgrading of benefits where possible. Achieve targets and objectives set by management. Carry out additional responsibilities as required. Essential Skills/Abilities Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to meet strict deadlines consistently. Adept at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks efficiently. Education and Experience A Bachelor's degree is required. Previous experience within the insurance industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
