Description

Superior Tire Service invites you to join our award-winning team. We are looking to hire an individual who is passionate about supporting our dedication to consistently delivering quality service to our customers while upholding our commitment to quality and safety.

What will you do as a Commercial Service Lead Tire Technician and Operations Support?

  1. Perform tire safety and wear assessments, flat tire repairs, and air pressure service as required.
  2. Oversight and assistant in the management of the location including the supervision of staff, inventory reconciliation, training of staff, local recruitment, ad hoc duties as determined and directed by the Commercial Service Manager.
  3. Ensure all invoices, national account delivery receipts, and inventory receivables are succinct and remitted to leadership in a timely manner.
  4. Survey and communicate with customers to ensure satisfactory service standards are met.
  5. Support all service technician's paperwork, off tires, and all inventory controls are met.
  6. Work directly with the sales team to support all deliverables, internal, and external stakeholders.
  7. Dismount, rotate, and mount/re-mount tires for inspection, retread, installation, and repair.
  8. Perform wheel service to include bolting and unbolting, installation, removal, and service as required.
  9. Operate and utilize power tools, compressed air tools, manual tools to include torque wrenches as required adhering to our rigorous safety standards.
  10. Operate balancing machines, determining the required counterweighting to balance and calibrate the assembly. Use of hammers to install the counterweights into wheels as required.
  11. Raise and lower vehicles utilizing hydraulic jacks.
  12. Repair: Valve stem replacement and repair, removal of foreign objects from the tire/wheel, visual inspection of tires, submersion of tires into water baths, ad hoc repairs as required.
  13. Fleet: Tire inspections, bump checks, and recommendations for service and repair to ensure both quality and safety standards.
  14. Service and Roadside Assistance: Daily, weekly, and monthly on-call roadside assistance; scheduled and ad hoc service calls as needed by the business and customers. Provide roadside assistance as requested. On-call shifts have a supplemental pay scheme in addition to your standard wage.
  15. Other Responsibilities to include yet not limited to safety, cleanliness, and organization of service fleet trucks, maintenance of written work orders, documentation, and orders, ability to take verbal guidance and direction, maintain a professional service standard to all customers.
  16. Collaborate and support the Commercial Service Manager.
  17. Safety and Standards: Operate all tools, equipment, building fixtures, and service trucks within the established safety protocols, appropriate use of PPE as required by local and state laws, accuracy in work and product applications and standards, maintenance of a safe and clean working environment, accurate timekeeping, maintain a punctual attendance, safety, and service standard.


Requirements

We are looking for driven, enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals with experience in management, mechanical, repair, tire, and service industries. Ideally, you will have at least five (5) years of experience in the repair/service industry. We provide complete training and certifications for our team.

We need someone who has basic computer skills including MS365/Office, email, and database software. With these, you will be writing basic reports, correspondence, and using manuals. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, to assess and best support customer's needs, and partner with other team members as needed.

Requirements: A valid, unrestricted driver's license, ability to lift 90-lbs, strong physical dexterity, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, ability to operate hand, power, and air compression/hydraulic tools, successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Software: MS Office proficiency, MaddenCo proficiency (preferred), Paylocity (preferred).

Management: Daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Full-cycle customer service manager for local and national accounts.

Certifications: The following are required (or you're willing to get certified through us): forklift and TIA.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment: Employees are regularly required to lift 90-lbs, stand, walk, use of both hands, arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as required. Employees are regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, vibrations, working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles, possible exposure risk to electrical shock, elevated noise and sounds within the working environment.

Supervision: Up to ten (10) local indirect reports +/- dependent upon operational need. This position reports to the Commercial Manager.

Travel: Based at our Salem, Oregon facility; no overnight travel required.

Status and Working Hours: This is a full-time position. Superior Tire Service's operational hours are Monday - Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm, Saturday 07:30am to 2:00pm. Superior Tire Service operates a 24/7 on-call service in addition to standard operational hours.
