Director of Marketing and Communications

ECOLE BILINGUE DE LA NOUVELLE-ORLÉANS, founded in 1998, welcomes over 400 students from 18 months to 8th grade. The school is accredited by the Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Etranger (AEFE), the State of Louisiana, and is a member of Mission Laïque Française (MLF), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), and the Independent School Association of the Southwest (ISAS).
Overview: The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for executing communications and marketing activities and completing relevant administrative tasks for Ecole Bilingue. The position reports to the Head of School.
Responsibilities:
● Strategize, develop, and execute short and long term marketing plans in collaboration with the Director of Advancement, including digital marketing, print materials, marketing mailers, public relations, special events, and advertising that advance Ecole Bilingue and increase enrollment and engagement
● Manage, produce, and maintain digital visuals and production
● Manage SEO, Google Analytics, and associated reporting data
● Enforce brand quality and consistency through communications, marketing, and school promotions, and campus signage, directional signage.
● Manage, produce, and maintain all content for the school website and social media
● Produce and distribute weekly electronic newsletter and monthly journal
● Work with the Director of Advancement and parent committees in all fundraising efforts including direct mailings, Give EB Day, Give NOLA Day, Grandparents Day, events (Soirée & Fete Francaise)
● Maintains internal archive of yearly photography from faculty, school events, and programming. ● Provide support for the administrative team for school events and administrative jobs as requested
Experience/Skills Required:
Experience
● Minimum BA Required
● Three or more years of relevant work experience in the following:
o Marketing
o Communications/journalism
o Graphic Design
o Digital Production
Skills and Attributes
● Impeccable writing skills (writing sample will be requested); video and digital editing, strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment; strong organizational skills; entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for our mission and development; expertise with quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods
● Ability to represent school in a positive and professional manner at all times, including school-related and public meetings and functions
● Knowledge of the French language and culture is preferred, but not required.
Salary and Benefits:
● Salary to commensurate with experience
● Benefits include health insurance, 401k, tuition remission, paid school holidays, two week paid vacation
