TITLE: Compliance Manager, Nutrition Services
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Executive Director, Nutrition Services
CLASSIFICATION: Salary, Exempt ($60,000 annually)
WORK SCHEDULE: Generally, Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides program management and oversight to ensure compliance with government regulations pertaining to various food programs for children and to maximize the organization’s reimbursements to ensure long term sustainability.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Oversees the daily Nutrition Service Program, budgetary requirements to ensure compliance with stat and federal regulations and laws.
- Manages the Nutrition Service Programs (After School and Summer Lunch) to ensure that 100% of required monitoring is completed in accordance with timelines established by Federal and State regulations.
- Coordinates nutrition education classes in the Team Up and Community-based After School Food Program sites.
- Prepares and files food reimbursement claims for the After School Food Program and Summer Lunch Program as required by State and Federal regulations.
- Coordinates training for the Nutrition staff and Community Partners according to State and Federal regulations and maintains appropriate training documentation for the Summer Lunch and After School Food Programs
- Selects appropriate menu to ensure meals meet meal pattern component and portion size requirements; submits menu to the state and federal government for approval.
- Provides budget oversight, budget amendments, and payment to vendors.
- Schedules, assigns, monitors and evaluates the work for assigned staff, including part-time/temporary.
- Communicates clear directions, manages for results and leads organizational change.
- Assigns responsibility, takes corrective action, demonstrates leadership in evaluating, developing and motivating employees.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution required
- Knowledge and use of the Florida MIP’s and FAN’s site for submitting meal reimbursement data
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in similar work required
- People Management experience highly preferred
- Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test required

SUPERVISORY: This position is responsible for supervising other staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position generally works M – F, 8 AM – 5 PM, but may require longer hours outside of this schedule and occasional weekends when necessary. Most work is conducted indoors but occasionally requires outdoor events. Some travel between clubs and camp is required. Occasional overnight travel may be required. On-site position must be able to work in-person at the GSC site of BGCNF.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time; bending and squatting on occasion
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. on occasion
- Ability to maintain a high energy level when necessary
- High degree of emotional intelligence
