National Account Executive, Chamber of Commerce

The Detroit Regional Chamber in Detroit, MI is looking to hire a full-time National Account Executive, Chamber of Commerce position to identify, evaluate, and pursue business opportunities and potential customers for a group purchasing program with ODP (Office Depot). A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A NATIONAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

The National Account Executive, Chamber of Commerce, works closely with current partners including Abenity and ODP (Office Depot) representatives to pursue opportunities, implement new strategies, and grow overall program engagement. In this role you will actively manage the Hub-365 relationship development including negotiating and contracting with customers, providing marketing support, and actively working to grow sales and manage profitability. The National Account Executive, Chamber of Commerce is also responsible for internal operations related to Hub-365 accounts working with the team to ensure optimal processes and systems are in place to ensure timely and accurate payments and reporting.


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A NATIONAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

  • 3 - 5 years' experience in related field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong sales skills and business acumen
  • Background in office supplies, print, workspace interiors, workspace facilities and technology solutions preferred
  • Experienced in vendor relations and influencing outside decision makers
  • Must possess high initiative to creatively solve problems and develop business opportunities
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally for events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Ability to attend early morning and/or after business hours events and meetings

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A NATIONAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

This position is full-time and typically works Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. As you are pursuing national business opportunities, you'll travel throughout Southeastern Michigan and nationally for events, conferences, and trade shows. There are also opportunities to work from home. Travel is required (approx. 10-20%).
