Job Title: Manufacturing Production Scheduler 

Overview: As a Manufacturing Production Scheduler, you play a crucial role in coordinating the production process to ensure timely delivery of products while optimizing resource utilization. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and liaising with various departments to ensure smooth operations within the manufacturing facility. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels. 
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate with production teams to allocate resources such as manpower, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet production targets. 
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory. 
  • Production Coordination: Liaise with production managers, supervisors, and other relevant departments to communicate production schedules, resolve scheduling conflicts, and address any issues that may arise during the production process. 
  • Schedule Optimization: Continuously review and optimize production schedules to improve efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce costs. 
  • Capacity Planning: Assess production capacity and identify opportunities to increase efficiency through process improvements or resource reallocation. 
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that production schedules align with quality standards and regulatory requirements. 
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production schedules, inventory levels, and production performance metrics. Generate regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and other relevant departments to coordinate material procurement, inbound/outbound logistics, and other activities essential to the production process. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, streamline workflows, and optimize resource utilization. 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in production scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using scheduling software and ERP systems. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, 360, Teams, Outlook, and Planner. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.  
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience with continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.  
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to the manufacturing industry. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions. 
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed to support production schedules and meet deadlines.
