LANDSCAPE DESIGNER II

The Landscape Designer II collaborates in the development master plans and landscape architecture design projects of various scales and sizes. Reporting to a Senior Landscape Architect or Project Manager, you assist in the design of sustainable environments that elevate and inspire communities. You understand that the end user ultimately defines the design’s success and collaborates with project managers and clients throughout the design process.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Ability to collaborate and work well with others.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, managing your time to assist project managers with completing projects on schedule.
  • Experience using AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with Lumion and Revit
  • Foundational understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of the design process
  • BS in landscape architecture from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience
  • Skilled in hand graphics
CORE DUTIES
  • Attend meetings with project managers.
  • Assist with master plan document preparation.
  • Participate with in-person interviews, public surveys, workshops, and design charrettes.
  • Prepare schematic designs and design development.
  • Assist in preparing construction documentation.
  • Assist with permitting projects with municipalities having jurisdiction.
  • Perform site visits and data collection.

The rate for this position generally ranges between $52K-78K. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employees already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
