We are on the lookout for a seasoned and dynamic Construction CFO to join our innovative team. As the financial architect of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy while ensuring the financial health and stability of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expert guidance on GAAP, construction accounting, tax implications, and regulatory compliance taking lead in all financial analysis/reporting, and all accounting-related functions for the company.
  • Leverage advanced financial knowledge to make judicious decisions aligned with the company's overarching strategic goals.
  • Conduct insightful forecasting of future scenarios, analyzing the optimal direction for the company over a 3-5-year horizon.
  • Drive business diversification strategies to expand our market presence and opportunities.
  • Develop strategic capital frameworks and evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Identify operational efficiencies, optimizing profit margins, and creating cost-effective expansion strategies.
  • Mitigate financial and non-financial risks to fortify the company's stability.
  • Manage risks by overseeing insurance coverages and representing the Company to Bank(s) and Surety Company.
  • Spearhead cutting-edge automation and technology initiatives to enhance the efficiency of financial processes coordinating IT staff to manage and upgrade accounting/financial software.
  • Effectively communicate nuanced financial insights advising the Executive Team on long-range planning, new programs/strategies, and regulatory impacts.
  • Champion company values, vision, and support organizational decisions with stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of 4 professionals, including a Controller, Senior Accountant, and 2 Staff Level Accountants.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, actively participating in discussions and finding solutions.
  • Works closely with other executive leaders to understand their areas of responsibilities and challenges.
  • Enhance, develop, implement, and lead policies and procedures for overall operational improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Possess 10 years of senior financial experience leading finance and accounting for a construction company with an annual revenue of $100 million or more.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, GAAP, and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualize the big picture and make judicious decisions.
  • Proficiency in cash management and a profound understanding of business risks.
  • Experience in ProCore and Sage Intacct required.
